David G. Juncos, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist, author, associate lecturer, music performance researcher & performance coach based in Philadelphia, PA.

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in 2015. I have over 18 years’ experience in treating a variety of clinical problems, including anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders. I currently work for Hopewell Springs Counseling Center in Marlton, NJ, where I treats adults, teenagers and couples with a variety of psychological issues, including mood and anxiety disorder, substance abuse, work stress and burnout, AD/HD, personality disorders, and others. www.southjerseypsychologist.com.

I also specialize in the treatment of music performance anxiety (MPA) and have presented internationally on my research in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to treat MPA and enhance music performance. I am on faculty with the Voice Study Centre, a UK-based provider of postgraduate study in Voice Pedagogy and Performance Coaching for Performing Artists. There, I provide lectures and tutorials on MPA, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, achieving peak performance, and statistics/research design, and I train music teachers in using ACT coaching to help manage students’ MPA and other performance-related problems. www.voicestudycentre.com.

I recently co-authored my first book, entitled ACT for Musicians: A Guide for Using Acceptance and Commitment Training to Enhance Performance, Overcome Performance Anxiety, and Improve Well-Being. Lastly, I am an amateur songwriter and I’ve performed both as a solo artist and in bands throughout the Philadelphia area as a vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist.
